We make our seismic data available to qualified parties free of up-front costs (other than nominal cropping and delivery charges). You can take the data, develop your prospects and define your drilling locations. In return, Heritage requires a royalty agreement (typically a gross over-riding royalty) on any resulting production should you decide to work with third-party lessors or lessees.
This approach to seismic data access stems from Heritage’s understanding that oil and natural gas exploration and development is capital-intensive and risky. This policy reduces some of those costs and risks to incentivize drilling and development of our lands. It recognizes that our success is mutual: generating new production, cash flow and royalty income.
